Track up to 10 habits daily with a visual streak calendar — no account needed.
Start with 1–3. Research and experienced habit coaches consistently recommend fewer habits tracked reliably over more habits tracked inconsistently. Add a new habit only after the existing ones feel automatic — typically after 2–3 months.
Yes. The tracker stores data in your browser's localStorage, which is cleared when you clear browser data or site data. To preserve your history, export it manually before clearing (you can copy the localStorage data from browser developer tools) or use a dedicated app for long-term tracking.
Not currently — localStorage is device and browser specific. Your habit data on your phone is separate from your laptop. For cross-device tracking, a dedicated app with account sync (Streaks, Habitica, HabitNow) is more appropriate for long-term use.
Click the calendar icon and then click the past day's cell directly on the calendar to retroactively log it. The tool supports logging any day in the past year.
Research from UCL found an average of 66 days, with a range of 18 to 254 days. Simple habits (drinking a glass of water) form faster than complex ones (going to the gym). The 21-day rule is a myth — it significantly underestimates the time required for most meaningful habits.
A goal is a desired outcome; a habit is the repeated behaviour that leads there. 'Lose 10kg' is a goal. 'Exercise for 20 minutes daily' is a habit. Track habits, not goals — you can control whether you show up, not whether the outcome arrives on schedule.
Yes — track absence of a bad habit as presence of its replacement. Instead of 'don't check phone in the morning', track 'morning screen-free time'. Mark it done if you successfully avoided the behaviour. The same streak mechanics apply.
